Hamza joined the firm right after completing his LLB from the University of London, and has been an integral part of the family ever since. He has been broadening his horizons by practicing in various areas of the law, and learning the intricacies of procedure, eloquent ways of arguing before Judges, and the masterly art of legal drafting.
He takes pride in noting that he consistently assists the Senior Partners at the firm in a multitude of cases ranging from the Civil Courts, all the way up to the Honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan. He is able to conduct thorough legal research on any given proposition, and the environment of the firm is highly conducive to critical thinking and analysis.
He was involved in the legal drafting, argument building, and researching successfully for a huge case before the Sindh High Court at Karachi, wherein a tender had been challenged under the Pakistan Procurement Regulatory Authority laws. He has also been involved in the drafting and argument building of various Insurance Law cases to which he has taken a keen interest. He worked on a case wherein the vires of a certain Banking law had been challenged, with the proposition of whether the Banking Ombudsman was akin to a Court in the implementation of decisions or not. Similarly, he was given the task of drafting Written Arguments for a pending case before the Honourable Lahore High Court, where an Official of the LDA has been suspended unduly from his services in pursuance of two Judgments of the Supreme Court. Moreover, he has taken a keen interest in Media & Mass Communication Laws, and has been avidly assisting the Senior Partner in various high profile cases before the Superior Courts of Pakistan
For the sake of brevity, it is safe to say that as a regular litigant before the Civil Courts, and being engaged in various tasks for cases before the Honourable Supreme Court and High Courts, Hamza has built a strong character in his legal career so far. On that note, as the great Nelson Mandela once said: “There is no passion to be found playing small—in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.
