Barrister Haris Azmat is a senior partner at the Firm. He has been providing wide ranging legal advisory, corporate, transactional and litigation services to a broad spectrum of companies and high-profile individual clients since 2006 in Pakistan. His clients include both public and private sector institutions and companies.

He was one of the youngest Advocates of the Supreme Court of Pakistan at the time of his enrollment. He is enrolled as an Advocate of the High Courts since 2007 and an Advocate of the Supreme Court since 2016. He has a large number of reported judgments to his credit which are published in leading legal journals of Pakistan.

Mr. Azmat has conducted a large number of cases before the courts in Pakistan which include a wide variety of trial and appellate work in civil, commercial, insurance, intellectual property, banking, arbitration etc. Mr. Azmat also has expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. He was the lead counsel for Gwadar Port Authority and Ministry of Port and Shipping in negotiating the Concession Agreement of Gwadar Port.

Mr. Azmat also has the honour of being appointed as an expert on Pakistani Law before the High Court of UK (Commerical Court, QBD) on a complex commercial dispute pertaining to insurance and aviation. 

He also serves as a senior advisor and consultant at Courting The Law, Pakistan’s first legal news and analysis portal with various initiatives that leverage technology to improve access to justice. He also occasionally writes on varying legal issues and his articles have been published in leading newspapers.

Mr. Azmat also takes a keen interest in pro-bono work.  He has represented rape victims, children, widows, mentally disabled death row prisoner etc. He has helped a blind lawyer and teachers in getting jobs in public sector organizations by filing a constitutional petition before the Honourable Lahore High Court.

Mr. Azmat has done his Bachelor of Law from University of London (External Program) and was then called to the Bar of England and Wales from Lincoln’s Inn, UK. In addition, he has also attended a course in International Law from the Hague Academy of International Law in Netherlands. He is a life member of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan, Lahore High Court Bar Association and Lahore Bar Association.
